Eternia is afe once more. Fabulous. On another matter, did you know game playing really is good for you. Why don't we see more of them in libraries. Jisc have just pubished this paper http://www.jisc.ac.uk/publications/publications/pub_gamebasedlearningBP/pub_gamebasedlearningBP_content.aspx. Non formalised learning at tis best, just like blooging really.

I have an undeserved reputation for being against game playing - I LOVE trivial pursuit, and connect 4, and Jenga.

But in the library....., no.

If you mean "computer games", there are arguments for the "learning" benefits on both sides. Positive effects on hand eye coordination and to some extent concentration. Negative effects on social skills and (dare I say) literacy.

Just my opinion as always!

Great to see that the boffins got your links working - easy when you know how!
