Masses at the moment, including

this from Richard Stark's awesome Parker series - reissued in new versions by Chicago University Press. Parker novels are my comfort reads at the moment. The Noirest of the noir... without Stark there would be no Tarantino - fact.

Oooooh, didn't realise
Payback was based on a Parker novel! I really like that film, although apparently they watered the novel down, completely changing the entire last third of the movie because men in suits considered it too dark.
Recently finished
The Big Sleep & was very impressed.
