I've tried numerous times to get a perfectly innocuous site unblocked by Swansea libraries, without success. It isn't blocked for any particular reason, just because a) your technicians never manage to unblock it properly & b) the librarians I take it up with have a habit of transferring to other libraries a few days later, which - because no-one else can access their messages - means I have to keep going back to the beginning again.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07046069298902513125noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3998821919569160685.post-6297967861600435202010-02-02T08:07:05.789+00:002010-02-02T08:07:05.789+00:00Now thats a new author to me, which is always a go...Now thats a new author to me, which is always a good find as I'm running out of material I haven't read my my usual favourites!

I'll give one a go, as sounds very much 'my cup of tea'Mark Hugheshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15941215078385085753noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3998821919569160685.post-33216362601835001152010-01-21T14:30:43.753+00:002010-01-21T14:30:43.753+00:00He'd get my vote! He'd get my vote!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07046069298902513125noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3998821919569160685.post-29679526402145282362010-01-17T14:59:00.949+00:002010-01-17T14:59:00.949+00:00I loved this book! I pick up any book that fancies me.
I usually go to a corner where no one will bother me, and I will stay for hours.
I must say, books ARE a treasure. The romanticism of it still exists. How could it go away? Books are a way to share knowledge freely. People have a way to record their thoughts, and when you read them you can get an insight into their mind.
I do agree times are changing- I'm not against the ebook. It will be nice to have a portable way to carry books around (I move a lot). But replace books? I think not.
It is easy to forget how much of a treasure books are because we receive them so freely. But in other parts of the world, it is not so. The old ideas of books being a treasure still exist, but stronger in places where they must fight for them.Paige Turnerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15517290415074471955noreply@blogger.com
